This fine LAPD Police Station was established in February 1925 within the Industrial District and got it nick name and reputation because of the high number of armed gangsters who would shoot at the officers. The top center of the coin has a revolver cylinder with backside of six bullets that have the words "Shootin Newton" and the number "13" which again designates the station number. The bottom center of the coin has two facing revolvers with bullet holes as a backdrop and the number 1925 for when the station was established. COMPSTAT
